- Cain commits the first murder when he kills Abel, his brother, because he is angry that God favors Abel’s offering.
- God decides to wipe out all of the people on earth because of their wickedness. But the Lord is pleased with Noah and tells him to build a boat so that he and his family will be safe when the rain comes to flood the earth.
